Two column layout (can be reduced to one, could be thought of as three if you count the vertical toolbox on the right) that provides simple presentation with extensive customization; not just for the developer, but for the user. The toolbox showcases the power of stylesheet switching. Users can pick their own color, font type, font size, and even dictate what style of layout they view your web page in. Navigation is kept brief and easily accessible at the top of the page, allowing for a wider area in the content region. A min/max width allows you to control your layout, but remain flexible for low resolution users.
Where does this show up?
Praying for much grace. Start with praying for ideas of positive actions to do for them and then step out in faith. Don’t wait to feel good about it before you act – feelings follow obedience!
@JNK, thanks for sharing and what a great start to your 30 day challenge! Keep the stories coming!
@Hilda, sermon #2 ‘The Leaders We Deserve’ talked about an amazing leader called David who honored a leader who had no honor. Maybe a good place is to start by praying for yourself, that God will give you the grace to honor your leaders, not because of who they are but because of who God is. Praying for huge transformation over the next 30 days!
Can’t wait to hear how this story ends! Praying that God will do ‘immeasurably more than you can hope for or imagine’
Great to hear Joj and thanks for sharing your story!
@Andy, I feel you! You’re in good company, along with Moses, Jesus & Paul in the bible! My encouragement to you is to lead diligently (Romans 12:8) and graciously, working as if for God and not man (Colosians 3:23). Also honor those in authority over you and pray as you do so that God will vindicate you before those you lead as He did for Joshua in Joshua 4:14
Thanks for all the comments people. Much appreciated! Let’s keep talking. @Caroline, i echo @SK’s invitation to consider taking Mizizi in January as a great place to start your purpose quest. @disillusioned, sycophancy is absolutely NOT the agenda for this series! Religion can certainly be oppressive but biblical faith (I differentiate the two) is what fueled the resistance to oppression in the US civil rights movement and in many other countries across the world. We must hold leaders accountable. AND in the process we must honor those in authority. Please keep coming this month and hopefully, something will add up!
Hi @Annette, pls check the link by @Douglas below. Thanks @Douglas!
@ Martin, please follow the link @ the bottom & you’ll find a transcript of the message that defines what the letters stand for!
Thanks Dex!
Didn’t get them here so not sure. Amazon probably your best bet!
Hi Siwezi, great to hear! Let’s stay and extend God’s influence on our great continent. There’s work for us to do. Unaweza! Pastor M
@ Ceasar, great question! Surrender begins with verbal acknowledgement in prayer that we are turning control of our life completely over to God. Next step is to begin to know (or remember) your true identity through reading God’s word. I or one of our prayer counselors would love to lead you in that prayer if you haven’t already said it. I also highly recommend that you sign up for Mizizi as it’s a great opportunity to ask questions and to grow with others as you begin the journey of discovering the purpose you were ‘wired’ for.
Thanks for all the comments guys. @Yvonne, not trying to be Singapore’s ambassador
I just believe that everything they’ve done is also possible for us. We have to see it to know what’s possible though and then to believe that we can also do it. Like @martin, I believe leadership is key. Not just national leadership though but also personal responsibility.
Hi Yvonne, you certainly have a gift of encouragement; I feel better already! Asante sana.
@ 20th, thanks for the seggestion. We’re planning to set up something on the mavuno sermon blog this week. You can also check out the one year bible blog ( [www.oneyearbibleblog.com] ), though my caution would be to only do so after you’ve done your own reading as the idea is to learn to listen to God for yourself.
@ Kisa, great to hear from you as always. Not sure the bible gateway plan is exactly the same as the one on the mavuno website. Would be good to follow the same plan but of course most important thing is to get as many of us reading as possible, regardless of the plan they follow! I do like the mobile phone accessibility though.
@ Desperate Mavunite, let me first affirm that you are not just a Mavunite but God’s son, whom He loves dearly. Thanks for sharing so openly what you’re going through. You are not alone! Psalm 68:19 says that He daily bears your burdens. Let me invite you to come to the prayer tent after the service and pray with one of our pastors. We would love to pray/walk with you. God bless.
@ Just me, Thanks for pointing that out. I honestly can’t remember saying that, but I very much appreciate your bringing it up. It is certainly not my intention to judge anyone, and I agree with your statement that men are equally responsible as women when it comes to parenting. Please receive my heartfelt apology for any harm I may have caused. Pastor M
@ Natasha, have forwarded to the people concerned. Thanks for pointing this out. MW
@ Christine, I am so glad you came to church! I thank God that He has a unique plan for you and is curing you of ‘green-eyed mostiosis’ so that you can play the game He created you for. And isn’t God amazing – He knows not just your name but your specific need. I pray that your complete healing will result in total glory to Him, and great blessing to many. Please don’t allow the enemy to keep you away from church – that’s simply his way of keeping you away from God’s weekly briefing and blessing… Have a great rest of the week!
Hi all, encouraged by your comments! @ lovedbyJesus, karibu nyumbani! Looking forward to seeing you soon at Mavuno. Let’s build our nation together! @ Tash, I encourage you to take a couple of weeks to pray/fast about your decision. During that time, ask God to prepare the way for you and to strengthen you for the task ahead. If you’re in a Life-group, ask your team to pray with you. I believe God will give you the wisdom you need to take the next step as you ask for it (James 1:5)
@CKN, praise God for your healing! I pray you will continue to go against the flow and to resist the devil when he tries to discourage you and keep you from your place of destiny! @ Catherine, glad to hear what God is teaching you. As you put Him first in your life, I know He will give you the rewards that come from seeking Him (Joshua 1:5).
God bless and have a good week everyone!
