THE DRAFT CONSTITUTION DOES NOT ADDRESS THE IMPORTANT ISSUE OF WHO HAS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF COINING THE MONEY. KENYANS ARE INTERESTED IN ECONOMIC ISSUES NOT POLITICAL POSTS. THE OBVIOUS OMISSION OF THE ISSUE OF GOVERNING OF THE CENTRAL BANK IS SERIOUS TO SAY THE LEAST. WHY IS THE CENTRAL BANK A PARASTAL YET SOME GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENT OF LESS IMPORTANTANCE ARE GUARDED IN A BIG WAY? COINING OF MONEY SHOULD BE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PARLIAMENT AND NOBODY ELSE. WHAT ARE THE REPRESENTATIVES OF WORLD BANK, IMF AND OTHER SO CALLED DONORS DOING IN THE CENTRAL BANK AND THE TREASURY. WE WANT THE NEW CONSTITUTION TO GIVE KENYANS FREEDOM NOT CONTINUED HIDDEN SLAVERY. BORROWING BY GOVERMENT MUST BE CONTROLLED BY PARLIAMENT.

It is a better step taken. Though not perfect but we are now on a definate path to somewhere. We can now look back and see where we have come from, Read the Doc, Make an informed decission, on whether to go back to where we started from 10yrs back or proceed from our current position.
Remember opportunities like the one we find ourselves in today in Kenya, do not present themselves each day.
Let us be carefull and concious
