Go Kenya Go

The biggest international elite level disability competition outside of the Paralympic Games, the first Visa Paralympic World Cup, is currently underway in Manchester.
Kenya is represented by two athletes :

Anne Wafula Strike who is competing in T53-400m and T53-100m
Eunice Njoroge who competes in T36-100m and T36-200m.

I’ll try and make it over to the stadium on Sunday with my big Kenyan flag and make some noise!

Haki for real the North is the new South! Go cheer for us dude..

Anne came 4th in the 400m, and 5th in the 100m with only 2 seconds seperating the first five.She did very well but could have done a lot better if she had some sponsors!!

Thanks norman. I couldnt get to the stadium cause of all those city fans! apparently there was a bout arranged between city and ‘boro supporters and the police, understandly, were nervous. Normanare you related to Anne?

I am Anne’s husband and I am VERY proud of her achievements.Its a real shame she doesn’t get the publicity she deserves for being the first ever wheelchair racer from Kenya.Imagine,she finished 4th in the world’s elite.Kenyans should be proud.She’ll be back in Manchester next month for the DSE Championships.Same venue,no football!

@Norman
We are proud of her. I think the Kenyan media just needs to tell her story. But trust me, she’s our girl!!

@Mental
Man do I have a story for you!!!

Rudi haraka!
