Red Invasion

The Red invasion of Istanbul that began on Monday has picked up pace. Taksim Square has been taken over by Liverpool Fans. Liverpool fans have packed the bars of Istanbul and display their banners to the bemused locals. Both teams in the final were allocated 20,000 tickets, AC Milan may return up to 7,000 of their tickets unsold. All of Liverpool’s tickets sold out before you could say, “You’ll never walk alone.” According to people out there a pair of tickets on the black market will set you back 1000 Euros. Meanwhile it is estimated that at least 35,000 Liverpool fans are going to be in Istanbul by Wednesday night.

So what happened to my big plans? Well as soon as we spanked Chelsea. I rushed online to book a ticket and get this, the flight sold out WHILE I WAS MAKING THE BOOKING. All other tickets are crazy; it would be cheaper to fly to Kenya.
