First impressions
Looks Professional. Well laid out. Hope the content matches the style.
Header
Big and bold Orange No Campaign. Simple, effective with just enough orange.
Logo

The “Orange No Campaign”. Looks professional and well done if a little simple. The idea of using an orange graphic as the o in NO is obvious but it works well. Especially online.
The main site
Two columns. Menu on the left, content on the right. The top of the content column has a flash image that rotates through the obvious Kenyan website pictures: politicians, a Maasai and a baby, a sunset. As well as some juicy healthy oranges.
Under this you have the message of the website. “To the People of Kenya, Our case against the Wako Draft.” It is the first text you see and immediately sets the tone for the website. This is who we are; this is what we are against. Effective. Opinion polls, quotes, even official campaign songs.
The text in the menu column is a little small, considering the space available. I think it is also a mistake to have an attack on the other team as the first item on your menu. They should also warn you when clicking a link will launch a PDF document. But none of the links lead to blank pages (which is a pleasant surprise).
Quality of information
Again a lot of information promised. A lot of the information is cut and paste from newspapers. The articles are relevant to the campaign although you would expect the No team to have enough competent people available to write their articles. They could then have another, “from the press” section. On the website there is a campaign schedule, opinion polls, pictures from previous meetings, and a list of the team members. Everything you would expect.
They have 10 reasons to vote No but I felt they should have left out their opposition to abortion. That’s a whole different ball game.
Interactive
The top of the menu has an icon promising a forum and this one actually exists! The look of the forum fits in with the look of the rest of the site. The forum itself is a not a hive of activity but there is life in some sections.
There is a “contact us” section with a physical address, a telephone number, an email address, a web contact form, and a website url. All you need to get in touch. I have not tested these it would be interesting to find out if someone actually does pick up that phone!
Nice touch
You can download and listen to the official NO campaign theme songs. (One song has the lyrics, “I am sober because I have chosen Orange” hehehe!)
Final thoughts
This is a professional and effective website. Well done No Team.

I previosly gave a comment on the referandum result of which i predictated a resounding no and gave kudos to some orange luminaries.I have a strong conviction that the mandate given by kenyans should go beyond constitution making. In view of this,i wish to appeal to the orange luminaries to introduce jimmy orengo to the kamkunji constituents and to groom him to oppose the sitting m.p.jimmy is a nationalist and need not confine himself in nyanza.Let him borrow a leaf from raila.
