Oh no. Rafa “Tha Gaffa” Benitez has won the unluckiest award in football. Right on cue, Zenden does his knee in, Essien tried to prove his theory that Germans are unbreakable on Didi Hamman, Darren Potter does his back in and we haven’t even played a game yet.

Cisse has been running his mouth and if there is one thing Benitez doesnt take it is back chat from any of his squad. The papers here have been full of “i choose who plays - benitez’s message to cisse” headlines. It is a world cup year and he wants to be the main man but he should keep quiet and let his football do the talking.

I must admit I have been giddy at the fact that we are on such a fantabulous run..and have been playing rather well, especially the “kiatu” department in the heart of the defence and midfield in akina Carra, Riise, Finnan, Momo, Didi , Xabi and the indefatigable Stevie G.
Xmas always has me worried as a Reds fan, especially with “mad” games against the likes of Newcastle, Bolton and Everton. Hopefully after Japan we will be back with the Fifa World Clubs Trophy and seething with winning brimstone (hoping Chelsea swatch kidogo) to make the 2nd half of the season worth every ounce of adrenalin!
I’m a Cisse fan lakini I have a feeling his days are numbered! Na si kwa ubaya!
