Another routine win

At 5 pm this past Saturday there was TV programme on Channel 4 called Supernanny. The premise of the show is simple; you have a household that is in chaos because the children are rude and disrespectful. The Supernanny, Jo Frost, then comes in to force some discipline into the badly behaved children. The first lesson is to remind the ill behaved rabble who is boss.
Fittingly, at the exactly the same time on another TV channel The Mighty Liverpool Football Club (WWI5T) were doing exactly the same thing to Chelski, installing some much need discipline and reminding Maureen’s bunch of divers and cheats, just who is boss. Supernanny is not allowed to spank and but Liverpool are not as constrained, we spanked those Crimalsea muppets up and down the Theatre of Nightmares so bad they wont be able to sit still for a month. (For once there was high quality football at Old Trafford as the GlazerPizzaHutB&QTraffordBowl Dome Buccaneers were not allowed anywhere near the pitch).

Like another banner says you have “no history” the last time you won the league it was in black and white. Maureen has now got his tactics wrong in two crucial games, against Barcelona in the Champion’s League and against The Mighty Reds (WWI5T). So let’s make it clear, in RAFA WE TRUST.

In a good weekend for the Mighty Reds, Steven Gerrard has been voted the PFA Player of the Year by his peers. He follows in the footsteps of five all-time Liverpool greats Terry McDermott (1980), Kenny Dalglish (1983), Ian Rush (1984), John Barnes (1988). On top of that Liverpool held off Manchester City to claim the FA Youth Cup trophy for the first time in 10 years. All in all Manchester has been good to Liverpool this weekend!

Did you just equate football playing with taking care of children? In which case, would the fans be the unruly children? And who would be the hapless parents?
Possibilities are intriguing–and a little frightening.

Wot!
Quite an amount of frothable “Uncle Mahinda” waters were kamatwad to celebrate this absolutely amazing triumph!
Chelski need to learn to take losing with a mighty ton of humility. There’s no for throwing juvenile tantrums. Or refusing to shake hands with the winner - both of which lack street cred once you get past playing foota in Std 6. Though the exception of eating your girly aliceband is allowed to console defeat for Drogba. As Bamboo, the lyrical sage said, “compe in compe roho safi”…they need to learn to lose like the champions that they are.
Loved the “Stevie G…Priceless” banner…too deadly! Definitely awesome that Stevie G won the PFA Award as well. Aside from one or two allowable off games this year (that backpass to Henry..ngai fafa!), the man has been inspirational and actually won a major title almost thru sheer inspiration alone.
Walk On, Walk On….

Before you jump up and down in jubilation, consider the fact that the Reds have won only 2 of the last 10 games against Chelsea! And when Chelsea won, they whooped your asses more convincingly than you did to them!
I’m a Chelsea fan but unlike Mourinho, I’ll admit (waru kwa throat) that the better team (on the day) won.We lost coz of poor tactics & wasted chances. But Chelsea’s still superior!

i don’t care who wins, as long as chelsea and mourinho are on the losing side.
although mourinho is usually the kind of character i enjoy in sports - big-headed arrrogant guys. but him he just takes it to another level…

@MsK … well well well. Finally in the finals eh. If you play AC Milan, you will lose. If you play Barca you will win. Simple as that really!

Rafa is a genius.
He always gets the last laugh.
Chelski - Champions league semi finals -despite losing 2 league games to them
Chelski - FA Cup Semi finals -despite losing 2 league games to them
Manure -FA Cup 3rd round -What a revenge after losing the league game to them.
I stand in awe at his humility and tactical knack. A true student of the game.

oh my god is that guy serious when he says for once there was high quality football played at Old Trafford. Liverpool would love to be able to play our fast flowing football but simply cant because they dont have the players for it. We have the likes of rooney, ronaldo, tevez, giggs and evra. You do have some very good players but you really can only dream of playing the type of football we do.
