Another routine win, another season with two trophies. After a mammoth 62 game season to produce a never-say-die performance like that is special. Liverpool FC aaiii kweli we are entertainers. Why win in 90 minutes when you keep the whole country on the edge of their seats for 120 minutes and a penalty shoot out.

Much as you may like to convince us that you were not ‘bovvered’ by all the suspense we both know that there were moments in that game when your hair turned grey.

You Liverpool people even tramatised my priest. He started preaching by saying how upset he was by West Ham’s loss. You could see most of the people nodding their heads in sympathy.
