Superman Returns

The trailer for the new Superman movie, Superman Returns, is available online. Unfortunately it looks like it is going to be a soppy love story. Nothing wrong with a soppy love story but come on this is meant to be a Superman movie. I always thought the guy was a bit of a wimp. Unlike the cool, dark, slightly manic Batman! Now there’s a superhero! (And by Batman I mean proper Batman like in Batman Begins, not those silly stories where he was running around chasing the future Govanator.)

    superman a wimp ? wait till nick comes here with his entourage of kryptonite loving supporters , never been a fan of the dude anyway or the DC comic stable mine has always been Marvel and look X3 is just around the corner …

    I am with Maitha on this one – Nicholas will be kicking doors near you and screaming willy nilly – give him time (and some internet connection) and you will see.

    On the same breath, I am more of a Smallville than Superman fan (Nick, help) so I am more likely to be out watching MI3 and screaming at Tom C (no, I dont like him, I would rather scratch his eyes out than scratch his stubble – is there a difference? Ah well .. you get my drift – but any Action Movie and I am running there like someone shot me with a ‘kigutha’ LOL (them things boys used to throw stones using strings – kinda like bow and arrow – kinda David and Goliath routine – oh and dont dare look at me funny, its Friday afternoon in the South, dont know about the Norf :D :D :D

    Yeah, rub it in why dont you? :( – I am stuck in the bloody office for the next hour and a half. As for TC – well – I still cannot forgive him for the mess that was War of the Worlds – and I dont plan to.

    Any pasty big bellied body parts in sight… :D

    XMEN 3….. Thats another storo… HAS to be watched……..

    Batman… not a big fan… except the original when Jack Nicholson was Joker… THATS IT!!

    Did someone just mention Tom Cruise and MI3??… Thanks Guess…. *puke*….u made me just lose all my breakfast….. ha ha…..

    Jack Nicholson was in the 1989 one.. Batman!

    I am so there when Superman Returns opens. Bryan Singer is the man with the magic touch, after all (think The Usual Suspects, X-Men, X2). In fact, he dropped X3 to direct this one, which is why I’m not so sure about these X3 manenos.

    And Batman Begins rocks my world like no other. I’m with Ms. K on the Batmobile, especially.

    Superman Returns or MI:3 or X3

    superman returns just looked bad initally to me, so skip…

    tom cruise is so crazy now i have no desire to watch MI:3, even if L. Fishbourne is in it…

    so X3 it is… never disappointed with Hugh Jackman… never…

    Just watched the trailer and it looks very predictable. I mean, with all the movies done by C. Reeves in the 80s and then the series with Teri Hatcher and now Smallville…….I think this one will only appeal to the new generation (born after1993 I think).

    I will wait for XMen 3…..looks like a plan.

    MI:3 wasnt so bad. I really enjoyed it, but MI:2 is the best of them all.
