Will bat for money

Despite my pro bono work for the Cricket World Cup organisers, despite them taking on the changes I recommended, I have not had even a scent of a free ticket to any games in the Caribbean next year. The indefatigable Nick Deverell who blogs over at Kenya Cricket has the price list for tickets for Kenyan fans who want to follow Kenya. Where the blazes am I going to get USD $1050.00 to watch us lift that trophy?

Eh, I think the USD 1050 will be paid to watch us NOT lift that trophy. Trinidad and Tobago would be a nice place to chill out though…

Aside, I have domez about how f$%/%ยง*d up the cricket issues in Kenya have become…right from administrative retardation to losing our ODI status to us being the suckiest team ever…dont think I really want to start with that. Felt the pain in my gut when we were swept by Bangladesh juzi juzi. And ati we can be formidable in the World Cup? Mad pipe dreams…

The issues that ail Kenyan cricket have to be solved for us to regain and surpass past and lost glory.

And then I can start thinking of where to scrap, scratch and scam for that USD 1050…

You should have copywrited or marketed your idea this way you could have subed my holiday. You watch cricket (why?) and I work on my !! tan !!

@Migz … I believe! I believe! But man the way we were spanked in the champions trophy in england last year does not make me too confident. Still, roho juu!

@Uaridi … you’d have to sit with me and help me keep score constantly. It would kinda of a “working holiday”.

@Migz…give the new administration a chance, at least things seem to be on the up. You are probably right though, this WC will be a struggle for us, but hew, we have Canada who we should beat easily in our group, plus the Poms and Kiwis who are not doing so well themselves in ODIs, so who knows…
@Mental…never mind the cost of the tix, I am still trying to find the cost of flights, but there is still time.
