As much as I loathe the break down in society that Mugabe has engineered in Zimbabwe one thing that irks me is when a someone gets up and says,
“Since we went to war in Iraq to get rid of a dictator why don’t the UK and the US invade Zimbabwe as well?”

I mean come on. Implying that Mugabe is as bad as Saddam is naive at best and more probably just dishonesty and stupidity. Don’t agree? How many UN resolutions have been passed condemning Mugabe? Chemical weapons? Mugabe must go, but he is not saddam.

Libby Brooks wrote an article in The Guardian on asylum seekers and the UK. It focused on 5 central issues that surround the hysteria against asylum seekers. These are:

What she discovers is very interesting. You wonder that the tabloids would do if they were writing in Kenya, where we have borders with Ethiopia, Sudan, Somalia and a large number of Rwandans as well as Burundians. They are our brothers and sisters; we will do what we can. It is called being part of humanity.
